Why My Coffee Counts

Our mission is crystal clear: we’re here to help hospitality operators save money while raising vital funds for community charities. We believe in coffee’s power to drive change. By converting consumers daily coffee ritual into a force for good, we’re turning the ordinary into the extraordinary.

What is My Coffee Counts

We offer a digital loyalty and preorder app. All our software is free, and our preorder functionality has some of the lowest fees in market, with a portion always going to charity.  This provides businesses with a way to engage customers while supporting charity initiatives.

Why do Venues choose My Coffee Counts?

Our Venue partners choose My Coffee Counts because our values align and we help them to be save money in their business.  By providing businesses savings, we provide the economic ability for them to donate to charity, not once, but for the long term.

Does the My Coffee Counts (MyCC) app cost anything?

No, our software is free to use. 

If you place an order with a Venue, they may choose to surcharge the transactions costs of your PreOrder or Order@Table.

How do I get a refund on PreOrder?

Ask your venue to refund the order if it hasn’t been prepared.  The venue can then refund the order in their Order Management system.

I have a dispute with a venue about a PreOrder!

Which charities do you support?

Venues can nominate their charity of choice to the head charity – The Loyalty Foundation – whose independent board vets and approves new charity partners, or they can support any of our existing charity partners, including Surf Life Saving Foundation, Community Living Association.

Who is The Loyalty Foundation (TLF)?

The 2019 Australian bush fire relief appeals went viral and global.   Huge amounts of money streamed into small charities, and unfortunately, some funds we trapped inside of great causes, but with surplus donations that couldn’t be sent to other charities with different services that were underfunded.  This meant many recipients in need of that funding missed out. 

So, The Loyalty Foundation was founded to solve the problem of how to get donations to charities nationwide and as nominated or needed. 

How do I nominate my favourite charity?

Venues can go to The Loyalty Foundation (TLF) website and complete the nomination form.   The My Coffee Counts team will reach out and start the process of preparing the Charites accreditation nomination paperwork for the TLF board to review, approval and setup into the MyCC system.

How do charities sign up?

Charities can use the same form as Venues or reach out directly to the My Coffee Counts team @ [email protected] or 1300 225 767

All our software is free to use. The only costs are for pre-order transactions, currently at 2.5% + 30 cents. As we continue to grow, we’re committed to reducing these costs. Many of our cafe partners are currently surcharging or adding this to the product value in the app to maintain their desired operating margin.

What Hardware do I need

While we suggest repurposing a spare tablet if available, if you need to purchase a new one, we’ve included links to the Officeworks website for pricing and detailed information. Officeworks often offers competitive prices and good availability. It’s important to note that you can purchase these tablets from any retailer of your choice; the links provided are for your reference only, as we have no affiliation with Officeworks.

For Loyalty, we recommend a smaller 7-8inch tablet.

For Order Management & POS, we recommend larger tablets (10inch or larger) so you can view more details on screen without having to scroll or zoom. These can be used for Loyalty as well if you prefer a larger screen/font size.

How I get Started?

1. Download the Shop App Here (Compatible with tablets only)

  • Click ‘Download’ and follow the straightforward sign-up process. It should take about 5 minutes for the loyalty-only setup. If you’d like to use PreOrder, you can either set up your own menus or let us do it for you – send your menu to [email protected]

2. Turn On Your Store:

  • Once you’ve completed the sign-up process, it’s time to turn your store on and start enjoying the benefits.

3. Change Management Strategy:

  1. Now, here’s a smart change management strategy that won’t disrupt your workflow during service. When a customer is making an order and getting ready to pay, take that opportunity to let them know about the exciting transition to the My Coffee Counts app.
  2. You’ll find a handy sticker on the top of your coffee cup lids that prompts customers to download the app.

4. Customer Transition:

  1. The next day, you can smoothly transition your existing customers to the My Coffee Counts app. Here’s how:
    • Add 5 cups to their loyalty status on the scanning tablet.
    • Scan their unique QR code.
    • Voilà! They’re now a part of MyCC Counts.

How do I get my customers on board?

  1. Add the customers current loyalty cups to their loyalty status on the scanning tablet.
  2. Scan their unique QR code.
  3. Voilà! They’re now a part of MyCC Counts.

How much does the software cost?

The MyCC software is free for businesses and customers to use.

How does the Loyalty System work?

Cafés install the shop application on their scanning tablet, and customers download the app and use their unique QR code to scan their loyalty rewards. 

Venues can choose to

a) Take or Donate: give customers the option to redeem their free item (e.g. coffee) or have the value of it donated to charity, or

b) Donate Only: enable an automatic donation based on theirs customer’s regular and loyal patronage.

What Charities do you Support?

Does My Coffee Counts work on Android and iOS?

Our app, available on iOS and Android, is easy to implement. It offers a loyalty program and preorder functionality. Shortly we will be rolling out a free POS solution in partnership with Tyro, empowering businesses to streamline operations and continue to save money across their tech stack.

What are the pre-order fees?

Unlike others who charge a service fee, MyCC only has a low transaction fee of 2.5% + 30 cents, which can be fully surcharged if desired.

Can I use the PreOrder feature for Order@Table?

Absolutely, the customer just enters their table number in the notes section of their in-app purchase.

Account Questions

How do I delete my account?

Merchants/Venues

  1. Log in to the MyCC Shop/purposePOS App;
  2. Select settings and then Request Account Deletion;
  3. This will prompt you to enter the Admin PIN Code;
  4. An email will be sent to the Shop Owners email address to verify & authorise the request;
  5. The Shop Owner clicks the link, which takes them to Admin displaying information about the Delete Request along with 2 options;
    • Deny or Cancel the request
    • Accept & Proceed with the request.
  6. When selecting to proceed, you will be asked to authenticate it by entering your credentials again;
  7. Upon authentication, the Shop is removed from use immediately to prevent further sales/donations.
  8. Shop Owner is notified by email for their records.
  9. To request any historical transaction data after deletion has occurred, we must receive an email from the registered shop owner’s email address and it must be sent to [email protected].

Consumers

  1. Log in to the My Coffee Counts App;
  2. Select settings, Account and then select “Delete MY Account.
  3. Select Confirm or Cancel your request.
  4. If you select Confirm, we will delete your account.
  5. You can create a new Account in the future if you wish.
